About Ipsen Ceramics

Ipsen Ceramics was founded in 1952 by Mr. Harold Ipsen, to produce specialized refractory ceramic tubes for use in steel heat treating furnaces. Ipsen Ceramics started as a department of Ipsen Lab of Rockford in Rockford, IL. In January 1957 Ipsen Ceramics was incorporated as a separate company and moved to a new facility at its present location in Pecatonica, IL.

Since 1952 Ipsen Ceramics has grown to become a recognized world leader in the design, development and manufacturing of technical ceramics and remains dedicated to this position. Ipsen Ceramics is also a leader in performing Custom Toll Firing with temperature firing capabilities up to 3200°F (1760°C).
